Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

09.30 25th May. We found 10 around about w3w tags.hook.pilots, eating and ambling in the sunshine. Although I think 147 had had a bit too much sun and before we left had lain
    down in the shade.
    Found 147, 155, 159, 165, 168, 176, 177, 020, 035, and 023.

Meant to post earlier.  Spotted 13 at the Shell Garage entrance happily grazing.

    Wednesday 20 May 2020

    Wednesday am

I think the herd were in the trees at the Aldershot end, a couple came out to see us on our way out and I counted nine scattered around the open area, behind the Pavillion, on our way back.

    Tuesday 19 May 2020

All found via a couple local walker tip offs. Nissan hut /Bourley rd way.

All seeking the shade, they're not daft! And I'm glad to report all Tick free so i must have got them all in the end. Very busy today, hardly surprising. Saw Russ MOD Russ Duggun on route.

At least 2 Dartford Warbler singing in the gorse  line on main track nearer corral, and a cuckoo in the distance.

Blogged Gelvert but fyi all sunbathing with a host of the public by the fishing club car park, large reservoir.

    Monday 18 May 2020

    Monday am

Eight sunbathing behind the Pavillion. As we were leaving, they were joined, noisily, by a ninth one. All seemed OK.

9.30 Mon 18th May. Walked from Sandy Hill around the ponds up to Caesers Camp, back round to the dip between the ponds and Sandy Hill. Saw no sign of them.
    Stay Well, Marina & Des

    Thursday 14th May.

Checked in on the herd today and they're doing fine in Camp 45. They'll have a long walk up hill tomorrow once the TB test is completed!

    Monday 11 May 2020

The cattle have been rounded up this morning for their TB check. They are now all in Camp 45, Bourley Rd. All going well they'll be out again this Friday.

    Monday 11th May at 10.40

15 cows lying down sheltering from the blustery wind not far from Sandy Hill entrance - sublime spelled occur (3 words location).  All seemed happy, very windy out there!

    Sunday 10 May 2020

Des and I have some family stuff to sort out tomorrow and will not be walking anywhere. Stay Well, Marina

9 May mid morning - all 15 on Sandy Hill

Ooops - forgot to post this yesterday.  All 15 animals grazing and chewing the cud on Sandy Hill mid morning yesterday (Sat 9 May).  All seemed well.

    Friday 8 May 2020

9.50am 8th May, Happy VE Day. Found 12 cows around w3w falls.inch.leans. All seemed happy enough eating and walking slowly towards Hungry Hill. 168, 176 and 177 are the 3 not seen.

    Thursday 7 May 2020

    7 May 2020 13:45 - all 15 on Sandy Hill

All lying down, some chewing the cud but many dozing with eyes shut and head tucked in by their body.  Very contented scene.

    Wednesday 6 May 2020

Similar to Jane's sightings all in the Wood closest to Beacon Hill bar 1.

But the 1 is fine, looked to be finishing off one of my licks I left a couple days ago.
The main herd were all found at w3w: barrel.disband.impaired.

    Wednesday 6th May

7 youngsters seen happily grazing at 09.50 on bank of reservoir by Sandy hill entrance - Names.Bobbles.Swordfish.  Saw what I assumed was the lone ranger moving with purpose on the plain of Caesar's Camp - Hoovered.Overheat.revival at 10.07 and then again at 10.13 moving past the sandy hill reservoir Sweetly.drooling.Chains.

    Monday 4 May 2020

All found around the corral at Beacon Hill rd entrance

Moved quite the distance from Marina's spot this morning! I then dosed them all to hopefully sort the tick problem, but, got distracted by the amount of people trying to get by them so I'm not 100% I did 168. Can't double dose so have had to hope i did. One to check in a few days.

They then moved up and later up in the Heather at dreamer.eating.couriers. Which which is where I gave them their licks. They weren't overly bothered with them tbh.

    10.20am Mon 4th May. Found all 15 around what3word reference.prettiest.shippers. See photos.
    Stay Well, Marina

By 10.35am most of them where still there laying down chewing the cud. 155 and 168 where no longer there. No sign of the others around Caesers Camp or the ponds.
Re Mon 27th: we have removed the inner tube tying the fence down but it could do with looking at. Barbed wire is missing.
Stay Well, avoid the joggers, Marina
