Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    The 11 remaining on caesar's were moved back onto Gelvert this morning

     At approx ///backed.sizing.ethic we found a mixed group of 9, (021, 030, 033, 940, 072, 235, 035, 020, 213) some eating some laying down chewing the cud. All looked well, no sign of the others. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

     As I still have no idea how to blog into the Gelvert site ............. We saw the 11 by the Bourley Lane gate and minutes later at the gate bordering Ceasers Camp / Gelvert / Bourley Road. Seem happy exploring their new home. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

    The cows are enjoying a vacation in Gelvert for the next month or so due to bracken spraying.

     Found all 10 down near long bottom, on the grassy plateau. All well. 

    0900 Mon 5th July. None seen

     Sandy Hill around James Bond pond, across to Ceasers Camp to look down on the reservoir, over to look out, along the main path to the pavilion end. Returned along Long Bottom to Horse pond and back up to Sand Hill. No sign of them. Stay Safe, Marina & Des
