Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

Thursday 7th April. All 17 found and well.

15:30 - Thurs 7th April.

I bumped into 17 happy & healthy looking cows near the water tower when on site doing a fence audit. Gave them a few cattle nuts which were well received as always! - Tom

Thursday 7th April. All seen.

They were all more or less together just behind the water tower, many snoozing in the sun. All good.

Wednesday 6th April - All 17 seen

All seventeen cattle were seen grazing amongst the trees in the area around ///hike.glass.pounds at 17:00 this evening. They were all rather damp but were all good.

We did are usual walk, Sandy Hill, James Bond pond, look out, Horse pond, Pavillion, Long Bottom, back to Sandy Hill. Saw military training but no cows. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

Sunday 3rd April - All 17 seen

All seven older cattle plus four of the youngsters were busy grazing in the area around ///flannel.adjusting.castle at 16:20 this afternoon.

The other six youngsters - cows 219, 220, 221, 226, 228 and 230 - were all grazing in the area around ///burst.quitter.cross on Sandy Hill at 16:45.

All the cattle were happy and healthy.

Saturday 2nd April - All 17 seen

Youngsters 217, 219, 220, 221 and 222 were all lying down chewing their cud in the area around ///monday.cools.dignity at 13:40 this afternoon. A mixed group of ten were all lying down relaxing at ///spider.fumes.cabbies. Cows 21 and 226 were up and about and were grazing close by. All the cattle were good today.

Friday 1st April All seen

They were all seen joining up together on Sandy Hill, Shell garage end, around ///mealtime.loaders.cloth. Earlier there had only been 6 in that area but as we returned the others were coming from the concrete bunker end. All looked well, some eating the new bramble shoots. Stay Safe, Marina & Des
