Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

Saturday 19th March - All 17 seen

Older cattle 30, 33, 72 and 940 plus youngsters 220, 221, 222, 226 and 228 were all lying down resting in the area around ///flat.flight.homeward at 11:20 this morning. The other eight were all grazing close by. The cattle were all happy and healthy.

Friday 18th March - All 17 seen

Youngster 221 was back with the main group who were all grazing in the area around ///enhances.fortnight.lentil on Sandy Hill at 14:00 this afternoon. They were all good.

Friday 18th March Only 16 seen

We found 16 cows around ///butterfly.greet.defenders, 221 not seen. There seems to be at lot of scratching, licking and general standing around although some of the younger ones were making their way through the gorse to Sandy Hill at ///encourage.spillage.pleaser. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

All cattle seen on Wednesday. Very soggy nut well!

Thursday 17th March - All 17 seen

Yearling 228 was lying down, chewing his cud at ///thinnest.inhaled.dream at 15:25 this afternoon. The others were all busy grazing and enjoying the glorious sunshine fairly close by. By 16:30 they were all still munching away (228 included) and had made it nearly as far as the Lookout. They were all good.

Thursday 17th. March.None found.

Not a sign of any of them today. Didn’t go up to the top lake so they may have been there.

Wednesday 16th March - All 17 seen

Older cattle 20, 30, 72 and 940 plus youngsters 213 and 222 were seen grazing at ///sharper.backyards.awoke on Sandy Hill at 09:05 this morning.

Cows 21, 33, 35 and 235 were all seen grazing at ///radiates.fracture.soft at 09:30. The other seven youngsters were at ///jotting.trickles.producers. The four wandered along to join them and they all started grazing in the area alongside.

All the cattle were good.
