Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

No cattle sightings. Signs of recent wildfires at the side of the track between M28/29 and at H30. Too many seperate spots to be accidental. I also saw, what looked like, a pair of proffesional dog walkers taking a pack of dogs through the middle of the area cleared by the contractors, to the east of the Horse Pond, disturbing all the wildlife before them. A number of these groups use the Bourley Road car park, perhaps a notice about ground nesting birds and keeping to the tracks might be useful.

    1. Businesses are not allowed to use the sites for dog walking so please let me know of their company names, the time and place you saw them and a vehicle reg too would be great.

We are on the brink of having a whole team of wardens be able to access to MOD land to monitor such things purely for the ground nesting birds so bare with us.
