Tue 28 Nov 3:30ish.
Just had a brisk litter pick along Sandy Hill. 13 cattle strung out along the path. Unfortunately they decided my bag of litter was food and I nearly got mowed down by the front runners.
All looked well and grazing contentedly (apart from the evident disappointment of not getting cattle nuts).
Emergency Procedure
If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:
NOTES:
Thank you!
- Call the office on 01256 381190.
- If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
- Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
- Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
- If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
Thank you!

Top man Ian! Thank you for your efforts. And I'm sorry you got mobbed for the 'suspected bag of feed' you were carrying. As staff we do try to ensure that when re filling buckets of nuts that we don't empty out bags of feed within the general area of the herds. I'm not certain if its definitely that, but apologies on our behalf in advance if it is. Have reminded the guys to try and make sure we are well out of range when filing up buckets when we are out and about. : )
ReplyDeleteCheers mate.
