Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Saturday 4th December - All 17 seen

    Older cattle 20, 21, 30, 33, and 35 plus youngsters 213 and 230 were seen grazing in the area around ///fattest.dignify.tent at 13:50.   They were all good.

    Older cattle 72 and 940 plus the other eight youngsters were seen grazing in the area around ///rhino.smiles.materials at 14:15.  Several of the youngsters were in the trees to the side of the large pond.  They were all good too.

    There was a scrambler motorbike being ridden on Caesar's Camp today.   Initially, it was in the distance (Sandy Hill area) but was getting increasingly closer to the second group of cows.  Unfortunately at about 14:30 it caused the cows to scarper off to the wooded area ///happier.piles.entrusted.   The bike left the area with the cows remaining in the trees.  After a short while, they had calmed down and were OK.
