Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 8th June - 24 seen

The seven older cows plus youngster 235 and yearling 241 were seen in the area around ///dissolve.fast.regaining on Sandy Hill at 17:45 this evening.  Most were lying down relaxing but they had lots of flies on their faces.  Cow 35 was grazing and yearling 241 was stood chewing her cud.

Yearlings 238, 244, 245 and 252 were seen an hour later grazing around ///viewers.wrist.overnight at the Shell Garage end of the site.

    Youngsters 217, 219, 220, 221, 222, 226 and 228 were all grazing around ///woodstove.vocals.elite at 19:40.

Youngsters 213 and 230 plus yearlings 242 and 247 were seen grazing at ///rejoin.delays.volcano near Bourley Road a short while later.

No idea where yearlings 248, 255 and 257 were hiding but I ran out of places to look.

All the cows that were found were good tonight.
