Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 5th June - All 27 seen

The cattle were still in the same two groups as yesterday.  The mixed group of nineteen were all lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud at ///asterisk.unit.payer on Sandy Hill at 10:50 this morning.  Most got up when a HIWWT truck arrived to briefly check on them, but they soon all started lying back down again.

The group of eight yearlings was seen in the area around ///bluffing.moods.amplified about an hour later.  They were all happily munching away on the damp grass.

Unfortunately, two scrambler motorbikes were being ridden on Caesar's today (there were two riders and two friends with them).  From what I could see, they largely avoided the cows.  Tom had been called out to carry out some fence repairs after they caused damage getting the bikes onto site.  They obviously realised various people, including the police, were looking for them and they went quiet and hid in the trees, scrambling to a different part of the site when folks got close to finding them.  They appeared to leave site shortly after noon.

All the cows were good today.
