Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 6th July - 24 seen

Older cow 35 plus youngsters 217, 219, 220, 221, 226 and 228 were seen in the area around  ///sunset.prayers.forwarded at 18:30 this evening.  They were mostly grazing, with some scratching being done against trees.  They were wandering in the direction of the Royal Pavilion.

A mixed group of sixteen cows was seen in the area around ///clarifies.trimmer.freely about 30 minutes later.  They were fairly widely spread out, but were all grazing and were heading in the Shell garage direction.

There was no sign of yearlings 238, 241, 245 or 247 tonight despite a good walk around the site.

The cows that were seen were all well, but they were being bothered by a large number of flies again tonight.
