Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 19th January - all 25 seen - 230 caught eating plastic

     Between 08:00 - 10:00

I found 230 chewing on plastic bags and sheets. I removed the plastic from his mouth and managed to steer him away from it all. The plastic is located at ///cyclones.risking.positives which is through the gorse near Sandy hill Road. Ideally it all needs to be removed. Picture attached.

At 08:00 this morning I found 12 including all the Sussex’s at ///dollar.petition.ghosts. Also here was 222 who came to greet me and enjoyed a lengthy head and back rub.

Not far from this first group at ///invite.lamenting.puddles were another 13 including Brie and Buzz.

By the time I was leaving a lot of the cattle were gathering on the path by Sandy hill Road.

All were good this morning mainly eating acorns and the gorse. Surely the acorns must run out soon!
