Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

Friday 25th September - All 25 seen

All the cattle seen in 3 locations this morning

///immediate.urban.duet (close to Beacon Hill Road) the 7 Sussex’s and 219,271

///magnitude.impulse.pipeline (north of James Bond pond) 230,072,228,033,234,217,035,020 and 030

///wobbles.snap.face (east of James Bond pond) 227,220,222,940,214 about 100 meters away were 021 and 270

It was quite amusing to see the second group mingling with the army who were camping there. One of the soldiers told me the cows had all appeared about an hour before I got there and were just stood staring at the tents. With a bit of encouragement I managed to steer them away from the camp.

All the cattle were good this morning.
