Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 19th October - All 25 seen

    Between 07:45 - 09:45

All see as expected in camp 45.

6 were in the west field, these were 1626,219,211,1396,197 and 212

The rest were in the east field. When I arrived at approximately 07:45 all were on their feet except 220. I think he might have had a busy night as he still seemed to be sleeping. It was a good hour before he got up and joined the rest grazing on the wet grass.

I couldn’t see any sign of the blood that Gordon had mentioned yesterday on 220.

Brie and Sarah were surveying the perimeter fence as if planning an escape.

All the cattle were happy and content grazing on the grass and various leaves on the trees.
