Please keep a close eye on him over the next few days and report on any change in the state of his limp. He will be slow keeping up with the group but if he can't find them once they've stopped and gets isolated then that would be cause for concern.
Emergency Procedure
If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:
NOTES:
Thank you!
- Call the office on 01256 381190.
- If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
- Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
- Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
- If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
Thank you!

Steer 35 limping - Fri 19th - staff check
Buzz (035) reported limping by Graham this morning. On inspection, it appears to be a moderate limp on his rear left. He's still putting it down and taking some weight but it is clearly hindering him. He was eating fine with the group when I saw him so we can leave him onsite and monitor.
