Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 18th December - 20 seen

I went out at 12:00 it was raining so much I couldn’t use my blog in realtime.

Seen there’s been a check on all the herd today, that’s a relief.

I found the group of 20 on Hungry Hill the SUS 7 were there as well as the gorgeous Brie. I stood with them and they were foraging. then they started to watch me. they were stood very still but didn’t think anything was wrong. They just watched me counting them and I called out to Guinevere and Gangsta so I could count them. This was before the staff check I must’ve just moved on.

I didn’t realise the paths leading to the riffle ranges were flooded I tried to get through but ended up with waterlogged boots so had to give up and go home.
