Over the period of an hour and a half, twenty-one cattle joined me on Sandy Hill, near the pillbox. Cow 72 and 940, along with steer 35, were grazing among the heater north of Horse Pond. Older steer 30 was relaxing and chewing his cud by the water's edge.
After checking on the four at the pond, I returned to Sandy Hill to spend some more time with the group, who had spread out to the west, either browsing gorse or resting and chewing their cud.
