Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 26th October - All 25 seen

     Between 07:30 - 09:30

As expected all have been seen this morning. When I arrived they were all making their way towards the Bourley Road end of the site where they were enjoying plenty of grass. Some were were picking leaves from the trees alongside the path.

The first to catch my eye was Brie, she was looking a lot better than yesterday, grazing on the grass and reaching up for leaves from the trees. I also observed her having a wee and poo! When the rain started she led the race to get back under the trees in the far corner. Ned and Sam then arrived which led to great interest when the herd saw the truck arrive and even more when Sam started to distribute nuts around. Ned decided it would be ok for Brie to remain on site.

I kept a lookout for 211’s missing collar but didn’t see it.

All the cattle were good this morning.
