Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 2nd May - 27 seen

Decided to go for a wander around Gelvert mid-morning to see if there were any cows on-site and to see if yesterday's surprise discoveries were escapees.  There were no cows to be found and no suggestion that there had been any cows living there recently.

On the way back, I crossed into Caesar's and soon found ten newbies grazing in the trees around ///upstarts.trump.orbited at 13:30.   There were the four from yesterday - 238, 244, 245 and 257 - plus youngsters 241, 242, 247, 248, 252 and 255.  It was great to see the seven who had been at Long Valley again and looking so well.  They were a lot more relaxed than yesterday and were happily munching away and exploring their new home.

The original seventeen were all grazing in the area around ///added.housework.wreck at 14:30 close to where Marina and Des saw them this morning.

All the cows were good today.  Have we now found them all or are there still others out there?
