Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Older cows 35, 72 and 940 plus youngsters 219, 221, 222 and 228 were found grazing in the area around ///land.trains.amused at 16:40 this afternoon.

Older cows 20 and 33 plus youngsters 213, 217, 220, 226, 230 and 235 were all grazing around ///constrain.drew.piano near the Horse Pond about 15 minutes later.

The ten new youngsters were all together at ///unscathed.instincts.gems on Sandy Hill at 17:10.  They were busy exploring their new surroundings.  They started wandering along Sandy Hill, grazing as they went, before descending the hill at the pill box and then following the Long Bottom path towards the Shell Garage end of the site.

At 18:45 the fifteen that I had seen earlier were all in the trees at ///simply.sage.glaze sheltering from some heavy showers that were passing through.  They had been joined by cows 21 and 30 who I had missed earlier.

    All the cows were good.
