Saturday 23rd September - All 19 seen

Cows 21, 33, 214, 215 and 234 were all happily munching on leaves from the bushes in the area around ///loyal.mugs.grid at the Royal Pavilion end of site at 09:35 this morning.  Older steer 20 and youngster 230 were grazing close by, out in the open, enjoying the sunshine.  Older steer 35 was found in the trees, having a good scratch against one of the trees a short time later.

Youngster 227 and yearling 270 were found munching around ///being.level.cute at 10:00.  Cows 30, 72, 271 and 940 all wandered past soon after, making their way to the area where the first eight cows were found.  They were all looking well.

Youngsters 217 and 228 were found emerging from the trees in the area around ///cake.onions.prone at 10:15.  They both stopped and said hello.  It looked as though they were going to make their way north to meet up with the others.  I set off exploring the surrounding area trying to find the missing three cows only to bump into them again along with youngster 222 around ///spoil.ladder.plank at 10:40.  All three were wandering along the side of the path, heading in the direction of Horse Pond.   They wandered past Horse Pond and onwards along Longbottom.

After a long walk around the site trying to find the missing youngsters 219 and 220, I returned to the area where I found the first eight cows at noon.  The missing two were happily munching in the thicket along with several other cows.   

Cows 20, 72, 214, 215, 234 and 940 were in the cow shed at 12:15.   They were relaxing and chewing their cud.  Older cow 940 was lying down.  By 12:25 all sixteen cows had wandered down and were jockeying for position in the shed.

The cows were all good today.

Thursday 21st

All 19 seen on the track near sandy Hill (///letters.dimension.ensemble). All looked well, and were grazing happily by the side of the track.

Wednesday 20th September - All 19 seen

Steers 21, 35 and 227 were munching on leaves from the trees in the area around ///enjoy.hunt.gears at 17.00 this evening.  Youngster 230 was hunting for acorns close by.  No idea what he had been up to, but he was drenched.

Cows 214, 217, 228 and 234 were grazing under the cover of the trees around ///firm.opens.stamp a short time later.  Cow 215 and yearlings 270 and 271 were munching on grass close by, not bothered about the heavy rain.  They all headed north-west along Sunny Hill Road, stopping in the area around ///years.push.most.  No idea where he had been, but youngster 219 came wandering along about five minutes later and joined them.

Heading back into the trees near to where I found the first four cows, steers 30, 33 and 222 plus older cow 940 were hunting for acorns in the area around ///jets.silver.races at 17:30.  They had been joined by steers 21, 227 and 230.  They were all looking well.

Cows 20, 72 and 220 were found in some trees around ///overpower.doubt.full just off of Longbottom at 17:55.  They were all very wet, but the two older cows were munching away on leaves from the trees.  They all seemed fine despite the torrential rain.

The cows were all good this evening.

Tuesday 19th September - 13 seen

It appeared that Autumn has descended on Caesar's Camp this evening, and so had the sport of acorn hunting.  Youngsters 217 and 230 were found snoffling for acorns in the area around ///large.lurching.give at the far end of Sandy Hill at 17.15.  Older cows 20 and 72 plus youngster 220 were grazing in the bushes around ///ethic.sticky.canoe a short time later.  After a bit, all three wandered through the thicket and descended the hill, coming together around ///flattery.truffles.shame where they stood resting in the light rain.

Youngsters 222 and 228 plus yearling 270 were found grazing in the area around ///snowy.woods.workroom at 17.55.   Youngsters 214, 215, 219, 234 and yearling 271 were all grazing in the pasture to the north of them, but they soon cut through and joined them.  After munching on some grass, they all wandered off in an easterly direction, following the main path.

Despite a good search of the site, I wasn't able to find older cows 21, 30, 33, 35 and 940 plus British White steer 227 this evening.

It was really surprising just how quickly the darkness descended this evening, but as I was leaving the site youngsters 217 and 230 were grazing together in the area around ///perfumed.jeeps.mills near the Horse Pond at 18:45.  Cows 20, 72 and 220 were grazing around ////cats.funds.gone at 19:00.

The cows that were found were good today.

Monday 18th September - All 19 seen

Youngsters 217 and 220 were grazing together in the area around ///maybe.fits.cages at 17:00 this afternoon.  Youngster 230 was grazing close by in the bracken around ///mild.lamps.smart a short time later.   They were all looking well and happily munching away in the late afternoon sunshine.  I was really surprised that they were still away from the others, particularly after the massive thunderstorm late last night.

The other sixteen cows were together in the area around  ///stars.votes.flags at 17:25.  Most were lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud despite the rather windy conditions.  A few were having an afternoon snooze.  Cows 72 and 940 plus yearlings 270 and 271 were up and about and were munching on the fresh grass beside the others.  Older steer 21 was eating leaves from the trees south-east of where the cows were lying.

At just before 18:00, the cows started to get up and have a big stretch.  Steers 20 and 30 joined steer 21 in the trees.   Cow 72 and yearling 270 wandered off in a westerly direction to graze in the thicket.  The other eleven headed into the trees to the north, where they enjoyed some leaves before they went off grazing down Sunny Hill Road towards Bourley Road.

The cows were all good today.

Sunday 17th September - All 19 seen

Steers 20 and 33 were grazing in the area around ///bids.they.tarnished at 08:35 this morning.  Cows 21, 30, 72, 222, 228, 271 and 940 were grazing on grass and heather fairly close by.  Cows 214, 234 and yearling 270 were munching on grass a bit further west around ///glee.tragedy.skim at 08:55.   They were all happy and looking well.

Youngsters 217 and 220 were found grazing around ///wound.retire.cards near James Bond Pond at 09:10.  They, too, were happy and relaxed and carried on grazing slowly west along the side of the main path.  I thought it odd that they were grazing by themselves, but a good search of the surrounding area turned up no additional cows.

Continuing my search for the missing five, I found steer 35 emerging from the thicket around ///twin.clerk.picnic at 09:45.   He was making his way to the others who were now grazing in two groups, with some cows at ///stable.stunt.chop and the others at ///javelin.mows.pots.   Steer 227 was found making his way towards the first group soon after.  Cows 21 and 940 had started to lie down and relax amongst the second group.  

Cows 215 and 219 were found grazing on opposite sides of the main path around ///streaking.diver.crisps at 10:15.  They too slowly made their way back to the others.

Returning again to youngsters 217 and 220 at 10:55 who were now grazing around ///worry.grub.swift, and I was delighted to find youngster 230 with them.  He was happily munching away on fresh grass.  He took a break and came over and said hello, but wouldn't tell me where he was hiding earlier 😀.  All three continued to graze.

As I was leaving the site at 11:30, the group of sixteen cows were all lying down together, relaxing and chewing their cud around ///javelin.mows.pots.  Cow 214 had completely buried herself in some bracken.

The cows were all good.  They certainly ensured I did my steps today.

Saturday 16th September - All 19 seen

Older steers 20, 21 and 30 were grazing among the trees around ///fakes.leader.paid at the Royal Pavilion end of the site at 09.25 this morning.  Cows 33, 215, 217, 220 and 230 were found fairly close by, grazing in the area around ///asking.total.rice a short time later.  They were all looking well.

Cows 72, 214, 227, 228, 234, 270 and 271 were all initially grazing in the sunshine around ///skin.soils.light at 09:45.  Several of the cows took a break and started to relax and chew their cud.  A short time later, the first eight cows wandered down and joined them.  The cows stood around for a short time before wandering along to the trees in the area around ///loss.kinks.stuck where they started to rest.

Youngsters 219 and 222 were found in the trees around ///active.above.chefs at 10:20.  They were making their way back to the others.  There was no sign of cows 35 and 940 though.   After a good search, I circled back round, and they had joined the other cows in my absence.   The cows all started to lie down, relax and chew their cud under the shade of the trees.  By 11:20, they were all lying down and relaxing.

Thank you for spraying them for fly.  

The cows were all good today.
