Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 11th February - All 17 seen

All seventeen cows were found in the gorse bushes at the Shell garage end of the site at 11:10 this morning.  They were in and out of the bushes, so I had to wait it out for some of them to appear.

    Cows 20, 30, 35, 213, 217, 219, 226, 230 and 940 were found first, well spread out around ///tame.daylight.firewall.

Cows 21, 33, 72 and 228 were buried deep in the gorse bushes in the area around ///refills.long.vaulting.  They all slowly emerged from the bushes and wandered along the path to join the other nine.

Youngsters 220, 221, 222 and 235 were munching on gorse in the area around ///relishes.beep.wiped.  Cows 221 and 235 remained eating in the bushes, but they were visible and were fine.

The cows were all good today.
