A thick fog blanketed a bustling Caesar's Camp this Boxing Day morning.
The group of fourteen cattle observed yesterday had divided into two groups of seven. Steers 20, 217, 220, 227, 230 and 271, along with cow 234, were grazing in the pasture northeast of James Bond Pond near ///gong.hangs.saving at 10:25. They had recently crossed from the wooded area to the southeast and gradually moved into the gorse bushes beyond the path. Despite being soaking wet, they were all happy and relaxed.
At 10:45, steers 30, 222, 228 and 270, along with cows 72, 214 and 940, were grazing on heather in the pasture north of James Bond Pond near ///best.trinkets.vent. They were all friendly and approached to say hello. Cow 214 especially enjoyed having her coat ruffled to help it dry. All seven looked healthy and in good condition.
The remaining seven Sussexes and four Shetland steers were found at the Shell garage end of the site near ///refer.movies.sulky at 11:20. Steers 21, 33, 210, 219, 1626, and 1640 were nestled deep in the gorse bushes, while cow 211 grazed on heather nearby. She was very friendly today, coming to greet me and enjoying a neck and back rub, before rewarding me with affectionate head rubs. The steers emerged briefly for checks and were all in good condition before retreating back into the gorse to escape the persistent drizzle.
Later, steer 35 and cow 212 were found lying down and relaxing on the higher ground near ///clinked.tram.input. Nearby, steer 197 and cow 1396, who hadn't long got up, were resting and chewing their cud before starting to graze on heather close to cow 211. All four looked happy and healthy.
The cows were all good today.
