Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 12th September - All 25 seen

     Between 06:30 - 08:40

All seen this morning in two main groups, the first groups including Sussex 211 was between ///necks.ample.fallen and ///scan.likes.boots which is half way between horse pond and the sandy bowl at the aldershot end of the site. All were good and friendly, mainly concentrating on their breakfast.

The second group of the remaining Sussex’s and 219 were at ///croutons.extreme.dignitary which north/west of JB pond close to the edge of Gelherts. Again all were good, mostly on their feet enjoying early morning sunshine before the rain arrives later.

On my back to the car I came across BW214, she was on the path adjacent to Sandy Hill road, on her own making quite a lot of noise as if calling for the others.

All the cattle were good this morning.

I am not available next week due to holiday.
