Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thursday 18th September - All 25 seen 214 White has a deep scratch on right side hind leg

     13:41 Sandy Hill estate just found SUS 211 no collar again on her own, so brought her over to the heath where there is a group  ///clipped.microfilm.downcast sitting in the heather, she has sat with her back to the group so guessing not happy. 8 in this group on the Heath all calm, it’s Brie with 4 SH, 2 BW and a White 227, all 8 on nofence.

    14:00 I’m up on the lookout ///contrived.hazy.circling found group of 4 showing on nofence includes SH 217 and 222 and 228. BW 271 and no collar Sarah ///tenses.ecologist.unheated the 2 collarless Whites 214 and 234 Gangsta are here as well.

    White 214 Guinevere has come over to show me her scratch on her right side belly it’s a red line not bleeding so ok she trying to lick it. I have now found a more concerning scratch on her hind right leg, it's not bleeding but looks deep. pictures and a video loading

                                    



                                                         


    14: 35 ///reduce.passport.driveways 2 SH grazing in the thickets have joined Brie’s group who have made their way up towards the lookout now, she’s brought the collarless SUS with her I see 9 in the trees all grazing.

    15:02 ///pint.rather.relishing 7 on nofence grazing and lying down in the heather there are 6 SUS and a BW. They've made their way from Gelvert gate and look to be heading to JBPond.     Thurs 27th Nov - staff check

    All 25 seen well in 3 separate groups of 9, 12 and 4. 1 group seemed to be having a stressful day...
