Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 8th September - All 25 seen - 219’s tracker not working

     Between 06:00 - 08:30

All seen this morning in two groups, first group was at ///hungry.carriage.kitchens which is about 200 meters north of the horse pond. This group of 18 included Sussex 1626 and the collarless whites 214, 234 and the lovely Sarah. They were looking content with some still laying down while others up on their feet.

They were looking second group was the remaining Sussex’s which were at ///elbowed.noise.failed which is close to the Bourley road

I found 219 at ///fingertip.notion.breathing I suspect he was with the 6 Sussex’s but had become separated from them. I also suspect that his tracker is not working as he was not showing up on the tracker map, which is only showing 20 cattle.

All the cattle were good today.
