Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

Call the office on 01256 381190.
If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

Friday 14th August - All 25 seen

Between 06:00 - 08:30

All seen this morning in two groups..

The first group found were at the lookout ///cashiers.trees.flying this group included the 7 Sussex’s, their best friend 219 and 217,214,234,227,021. All were good and just standing in shade of the trees. 1640 was lying down and I could see his wound was a lot better than the beginning of the week.

The second group were a bit more scattered, they were down from the lookout at ///snipe.aimed.degrading. This included the remaining 12 of the herd. Again they were all good, grazing on the heather and gorse. 220 had actually found some green grass and didn’t seem keen to share it with 228 who wandered over to have a look. Hopefully this group will make their way towards the cow shed for some shade before it gets too hot again.

All the cattle were good this morning.
