Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Monday 31st August - All 25 seen

     Between 06:00 - 08:30

    All seen in two areas this morning

    ///obliging.pushover.they 19 were found just north west of horse pond. This included 3 Sussex 210,212 and 1640. Also Sarah, Brie and the 3 whites. Most were still lying down enjoying the early morning sunshine. They were all still at bit damp after the recent rain.

    The remaining four Sussex’s, 020 and 035 were about 500 meters to the west of the main group at ///beaker.wiser.intestine. These were all on their feet and heading through the bracken towards James Bond pond. Again all were good.

    On my way back I revisited the first 19 who by now were all stood up and grazing on the heather and young gorse plants.All the cattle were good this morning.
