Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 19th March - All 17 seen

Cows 35, 226, 235 and 940 were found grazing around ///pines.gobbles.quail on Sandy Hill at 10:00 this morning.

The other thirteen were well spread out grazing in the gorse bushes around ///swerves.possible.afraid.  Most were buried deep in the central bank of bushes, however, cows 33, 72 and 219 were in the bushes to the north.  Slowly, the cows came out of the bushes and made their way along to their favourite Sandy Hill corner, grazing as they went.   They had a short rest, munched on some grass and then wandered down to Hungry Hill where they disappeared into the woods.

Cows 30 and 220 were obviously enjoying the gorse and were in no rush to catch up with the others.  They didn't make it along to Hungry Hill till 11:25 where they stopped and had a drink from the large pool of water before following the others into the woods.

The cows were all good today.
