Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 1st March - All 17 seen

Youngsters 220 and 228 plus older cow 940 were grazing atop of Sandy Hill in the area around ///raven.arena.organs at 10:25 this morning.  They were wandering towards the Shell garage end, eating grass as they went.

Cows 217, 221, 226 and 230 were all grazing in the area around ///funds.toads.years at 11:20.   Cows 21, 33, 35, 219, 222, 235 were found standing chewing their cud in the area around ///before.pill.accented a short while later.  Youngster 213 was in a gorse bush behind them.  Older cow 30 was grazing in amongst gorse bushes further down at ///sheds.composer.proof.

Went looking  for the missing two and ended up back on Sandy Hill where I found cows 20 and 72 standing chewing their cud around ///control.snapper.mouths at 12:10.  The original three were still grazing and were ahead of them, nearly at Hungry Hill.  They had obviously about turned at some point.

The cows were all good today.
