Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 18th May - All 15 seen

Cows 21, 30 and 230 were lying down, resting and chewing their cud in the area around ///behalf.eggs.each just along from the Lookout at 17:15 this afternoon.  They were all very relaxed.  No idea what youngster 230 had been up to, but he had mucky feet :).

Cows 20, 35, 270, 271 and 940 were lying down around ///nation.etchings.jungle at the Shell garage end of site at 17:55.  They were all resting or chewing their cud.  Older cow 33 was standing alongside them, chewing his cud.

Cows 72, 219, 220, 222 and 228 were all happily munching on grass in the area around ///erupted.wove.pure.  Youngster 217 was grazing a bit further into the trees in the same area.

Cow 72 still had a lot of visible tick bites on her hind quarters.   They didn't appear to be causing her any issues, though. She was moving fine and was munching away happily.   A number of other cows also had tick bites on their bodies as well.

The cows were all good today.
