Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Wednesday 10th May - All 13 seen

    Older cow 20 was found munching in the bushes around ///drove.mile.grape at 16:30 this afternoon.  Youngsters 217, 219 and 230 were grazing in the swampy ground around ///foiled.yourself.states a short while later.  Youngster 220 was standing close by, relaxing and chewing his cud.   Older cows 21 and 33 were busy eating around ///coach.harder.keep.  After a while, cow 20 wandered along and joined them.

    Cows 72 and 940 were lying down together around ///impresses.moth.submerged at 17:20.  Older cow 35 and youngster 228 were munching on leaves in the bushes behind them.  Older cow 30 had found a nice hiding spot close by where he was lying down chewing his cud.  Youngster 222 was munching on leaves close to him.

    The cows were all good today.
