Youngsters 217, 219, 220, 221, 222, 226, 230 and 235 were all busy munching on grass on their favourite Sandy Hill corner at 10:15 this morning. Youngster 228 was lying down, relaxing and chewing his cud. The others grazed for a while before lying down beside him.
Youngster 213 was munching on leaves in some bushes at the bottom of the path down from the Lookout around ///quitter.mild.pranced at 11:30. This was the same area where youngsters 226 and 235 emerged from yesterday.
Older cows 20, 35, 72 and 940 were grazing in the area around ///fence.mixes.eventful a short while later. Cow 213 wandered down and joined them. Older cows 21 and 33 were found on the other side of the path grazing around ///harp.wobbling.pylon.
Older cow 30 was lying down relaxing in the area around ///elastic.motored.tweeted. By the time I found a way to get to him, he had got up and had started to slowly wander over to the others.
At some point yesterday, there was a fire on Caesar's Camp. Two large sections at the bottom of the Sandy Hill slope around ///await.pigs.sofas and ///help.glad.straying have been affected. Staff from HIWWT have been made aware.
The cows were all good today.
