Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Thursday 24th August - All 9 seen - All 19 cows now back on Caesar's

Youngster 217 was munching on grass in the area around ///grit.candy.sunk at 16.10 this afternoon.   He was by himself but was happy and very relaxed.

The other eight, cows 214, 215, 219, 228, 230, 234, 270 and 271 were grazing together in the area around ///dads.gave.dizzy a short time later.  There were a few rumbles of thunder and then a heavy rain shower, but that didn't put any of them off.  Youngster 217 soon arrived and started grazing with the others.   Cows 228 and 234 decided to go into the trees to graze for a bit to shelter from the rain, but soon came back out.  All nine were looking well today.

For awareness, the ten cows that were on Gelvert were returned to Caesar's Camp at approx 19:00 this evening.  All 19 cows are now on Caesar’s.

The cows were all good today.
