Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 26th September - All 25 seen

     Between 07:30 - 09:30

All have been seen scattered across the site this morning. The first  4 were found near ///fairness.solicitor.cult which is near the Beacon Hill Road end of the site.

I then ventured into Gelvert and found 10 between the following 3 word locations ///clockwork.heavy.hazelnuts ///thighs.arts.timer and ///spearhead.windows.attitudes. They were all looking good and grazing on the long grass. Due to the boggy ground a close inspection of them was a bit limited. Does anyone else have problems with the tracker map / GPS on the phone when in this area as mine seems to drop out completely.

Not sure of the problem is with my iPhone as it then refused to work so could not get any 3word locations or photos.

The rest were then found between the sandy area at the aldershot end heading towards the lookout.

All the cattle were good this morning.

Only 5 photos this morning due to phone problems!

    1. I too experienced slow trackers yesterday near Beacon Hill Road, I was not well so didn't go on to Gelvert. GPS didn't drop out completely and I managed to get 3words location on my iPhone drains the battery fast though. The cows were moving at speed and hiding it took hours to find the group.
