Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 22nd September - All 25 seen

     Between 06:50 - 09:15

All have been seen in 3 groups this morning, the first group were at ///pipe.help.advice which is in the dip between the sandy hill road and the JB pond. This included 5 of the Sussex’s. The scratch in the side of 1640’s neck looked the same and certainly not any worse.

The second group including the remaining 2 Sussex’s were at ///volume.width.unwound which is near the lookout.

The final group were all in the vicinity of the horse pond near ///venturing.quench.reduction.

All the cattle were good today although they seem to be more keen on the acorns instead of the grass.

On my way back to the car I found Sussex 211 who because of not having a tracker had made her way to the path alongside Sandy Hill Road. The plus side was that at least she was eating the grass.
