Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 2nd September - Staff Call Out/Check

Was alerted late last night on NoFence that 72 Sarah had not moved for some time so attended this morning and found her collar on the fence. 9.30am approx by time I managed to get to where the collar was..
Approximately ///help.pulp.cyber though gps wasn't very accurate today 😕
Looks like she maybe got caught reaching over or through and snapped the green rubber band, as it was tangled quite tightly in the fence rather than placed. No blood or fur on fence or collar etc and good to see they do snap when needed.

Will look on rest of herd whilst I'm here and will update this blog post as I go

So that makes 22 out of 25 seen today. I am annoyed I couldn't find Sarah and the other two but unfortunately I had to give up to go to another job after three hours of searching. I have some time in the morning so can attend again if she hasn't been spotted.

    Kind Regards,

    Zoe
