I arrived at 12:20 this afternoon, just as the final cows were finishing the first stage of their TB test. The herd had begun to gather near the trees in the southwest corner of the site, where they soon settled to relax and chew their cud. They were all very friendly, coming over to say hello and enjoy a few strokes.
It was lovely to see youngster 230 back to his usual self—happily grazing before coming over for a long back rub.
By the time I left, most of the cattle were peacefully grazing, gradually making their way towards Bourley Road. A few had started to lie down to rest and chew their cud. All twenty-five were calm, content, and looking well.
The cows were all good today.
