Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 14th January - All 17 seen

Judging by how relatively dry most were, the cows must have been hunkered down among the trees, sheltering from the heavy overnight and morning rain and wind.

Cow 72 was found by herself with her head over the fence munching on leaves in the area around ///lonely.rides.gangs at 13:35 this afternoon.

Cows 20, 30, 35, 213, 220 and 235 were all spread out munching on gorse and heather in the area around ///order.apple.hosts about fifteen minutes later.

Cows 33, 217, 219, 221, 222, 226, 228, 230 and 940 were also spread out grazing in the area around ///thing.shed.reason.  Most were buried in gorse bushes, munching away happily.

Cow 21 was found by himself a little bit further down at ///loans.zest.piano.   He, too, was busy eating.

The cows were all good today.
