Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Happy New Year.  Wishing you a happy and healthy 2023.

Youngsters 226 and 230 were grazing around ///otters.warp.waistcoat on the side of Hungry Hill at 11:10 this morning.  Cows 20, 21, 30, 33, 217, 219, 220, 221 and 235 were all found individually eating gorse in the trees and bushes behind them.

Cows 35, 222, 228 and 940 were found hunting for acorns in the area around ///roofs.reboot.alleyway at 11:30.  They soon turned to grazing in the surrounding area with cows 20, 21 and 30 climbing down the hill to join them.

Eventually, I found cows 72 and 213 forty minutes later, in the same trees that the nine were found in earlier.  They were busy picking at the gorse bushes.  They must have been in stealth mode when I searched previously.

All the cows were good today.
