Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 28th January - All 17 seen

A mixed group of ten, cows 20, 21, 30, 35, 72, 217, 219, 220, 228 and 940, were widely spread out in the gorse bushes in the area around ///rollers.sulk.skate at 12:45 this afternoon.  They were all happily eating.  The last to be found, youngsters 221 and 230, were found all the way back at ///snail.grove.skis.  After eating, some of the cows started to lie down, relax and chew their cud.

Youngster 222 was found by himself, standing under some trees, chewing his cud at ///heads.flocking.hurray.

Youngster 235 was lying down resting at ///jousting.spokes.clotting.  Older cow 30 and youngster 213 were grazing close by.  Youngster 226 was munching on gorse in the bushes behind cow 235.    As I was leaving, they were all lying down together.

There was plenty of drinking water available on site today.

The cows were all good today.
