Older cows 20, 72 and 940 plus eight of the youngsters were all gathered together in the area around ///grape.threading.venturing at 12:20 this afternoon. They were mostly standing chewing their cud, trying to keep warm in the thick frost and freezing fog that was blanketing the site today. Cow 21 was off to the side, grazing.
The same twelve were seen grazing in the area around ///opera.dark.cured at 13:05 and then again grazing around ///pickup.diver.udder at 13:30.
Eventually found the other five deep in the trees around ///pool.interview.assemble at 13:45. Youngsters 221 and 230 were stood together, chewing their cud. Older cows 30, 33 and 35 were all busy munching on leaves from the trees and bushes.
Horse Pond was still completely frozen. Ice was broken on large pools of water at the Royal Pavilion, Horse Pond (same area as Saturday and Sunday), Sandy Hill, Longbottom and Shell Garage end of site. I was also able to break the ice at the edge of James Bond Pond, just along from where the cows were at 13:30.
Cow 33's left foot was completely fine today. Youngster 221 still had the finest trace of a red mark just above her left hoof, but it wasn't causing her any issues.
All the cows were good today.
