Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 18th December - All 17 seen

Older cow 33 was hunting for acorns in the area around ///smart.trend.snack at 09:50 this morning.  Cows 20 and 35 were grazing close by.  Older cow 30 was deep in some gorse bushes munching away happily.

Youngsters 217, 221 and 230 were still together and were munching on gorse deep in the bushes around ///perfumes.airbrush.starred at 10:35.

A mixed group of nine were found in the area around ///month.overnight.press at 11:55.  They were mainly hunting for acorns, but occasionally took a break to munch on some gorse.  Youngster 220 was fairly close by at ///work.logged.wolves and was searching intensely for acorns.  None were being put off by the heavy wintery rain, despite all being rather wet.  The four older boys soon joined up with this group.

Horse Pond was still completely frozen, but there were signs it was starting to thaw.  It was also much easier to break the ice on various pools of water, including James Bond Pond, as I wandered around the site today.

The cows were all good today.
