Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 3rd December - All 17 seen

Cows 213 and 940 were found grazing in the trees around ///vanish.levels.violin at the Royal Pavilion end of the site at 12:20 this afternoon.  I had been searching for ages, so was relieved to finally find some cows!  Older cows 20, 30, 33 and 72 were found grazing in the area around ///hours.flute.bench.   After a short time, cows 20 and 30 lay down and started chewing their cud.

Older cows 21 and 35 plus youngsters 217, 219 and 220 were found in the area around ///scout.cube.noon at 12:50.  They were mainly munching, drinking from puddles or standing chewing their cud.  Youngster 228 was lying down, resting.

About ten minutes later, the six from earlier appeared from out of the trees and joined them.  Another ten minutes later, the final five youngsters, 221, 222, 226, 230 and 235, appeared.  I don't know where they had been.  Cow 235 had a scratch against a tree as she arrived.  They all started to lie down, relax and chew their cud.

All the cows were good today.
