Steers 20, 21, 30, 33, 35, and 219, along with cows 72, 234, and 940, were gathered at the bottom of Sandy Hill near ///suiting.orange.sprint at 16:00 this afternoon. Most were resting, while a few grazed on the fresh grass. They were all friendly and came over to greet me. The group looked happy and healthy. As I wandered off to find the others, they followed me for a while.
At 16:20, the remaining nine members of the Caesar's original herd were contentedly grazing in the thicket near ///merely.thinker.crafts. They were enjoying a variety of leaves. Youngster 222 was particularly friendly, coming over to say hello and enjoy a long neck and head rub, while youngster 230 took a break from grazing for a back rub, wriggling around to make sure I reached all his itchy spots. All nine appeared happy, relaxed, and in good condition.
The seven Sussex cattle were found grazing near ///kidney.rails.mixes, at the Shell garage end of the site at 17:10. They were enjoying plenty of fresh grass, heather, and leaves from the nearby bushes. Cow 211 was her usual friendly self, coming over for a neck and back scratch. The group seemed relaxed, content, and in good health. After saying my goodbyes at 17:40, they slowly made their way into the trees to the west.
It was also nice to catch up with Ned during my visit while he was checking on Brie.
The cows were all good today.
