Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Friday 1st May - Staff Check

All 25 seen today between 14.00 and 15.00.
They had split into four groups of 4, 4, 13, 4 spread all across the site with the majority lying in the shade in the woodland to the east. All appear content and well. The big group were all lying down chewing the cud. The other small groups were all on the move and grazing in various woodland pockets and I had to climb and weave through trees and scrub. Amazing where they get into!
It was a good opportunity for me to get to the know the site to be honest as I've not been here before. Thank you Gordon for your detailed reports as I was able to get to know all the cows here better.

I checked the fenceline by the housing rd estate on my way out as I know it's prone to being cut.

    Have a good weekend. Zoe
