Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 17th - All 25 seen

     Between 07:00 - 09:20

All have been seen this morning in two main groups and two on their own. The first group I found of 14 were at ///committee.harmlessly.contour which is to the west of the Horse Pond. All were good eating the acorns and some of the more sensible ones grazing on the grass. 222 recognised me and made his way over for a back rub before returning to his acorns.

I then found 021 and 1626 at ///forgets.spenders.flicked which is on the bank leading up to JB pond. Both were quite content grazing on the grass.

The final group of 9 including 234 were at ///styled.excusing.liberated which is on the path alongside Sandy Hill Road. A couple of their trackers were buzzing but if they must stick their heads over the fence then the tracker is doing its job.

All the cattle were good this morning
