Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Thursday 13th November - All 25 seen Gangsta has no collar

I didn’t see any grazing acorns today, big relief.

12:51 cows are in 2 groups but moving in same direction from JBPond to the water tower

Found Brie near the gate on to Gelvert ///mimics.adjuster.challenge she’s grazing the verges with BW that’s putting her head over a low fence and grazing the other side, I’m going to hang around and see her neck the fence was barbed. She’s seems ok but is grazing so can’t get to see under her neck

13:37 nofence is glitching over by Beacon Hill Road cows are moving at speed and popping up far away. This group of 19 has marched quick from the water tower over towards the gate on Beacon Hill the nofence will stop them, I wonder why they are rushing past me I think they are following dog walkers and mooing at them. They realised the nofence is there and they are dispersing so difficult to keep up with them.

14:02 they resting and chewing their cud ///matrons.soonest.codes near the Beacon Hill Road side they must be exhausted but it is a lovely warm sunny day

The SUS are here group of 6 sitting and watching cars through the trees. SH 8 sitting chewing their cud

Gangsta has slipped her collar and is getting amorous attention from 2 SH

14:26 Brie has arrived with others, she trying to get through nofence heading towards Beacon hill Road, she’s turned back

14:43 this group is now 24 and Gangsta no collar, all calm and peaceful now I’ll leave them here.
