Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 20th November - All 25 seen

10:30 on site Sandy Hill can hear army training loyd popping sounds from over by the lookout

Frozen puddles this morning even though the sun is shinning

Cows are sunning near their favourite apple tree in Sandy Hill the noise carrying is loud the cows notice it I’ve got a group of 11 here includes Brie and Guinevere. They are all grazing and moving along freely drinking from puddles

More cows are joining from behind there are 13 here now

Gangsta has joined so now another so 15

10:58 the other group 6 SUS and a SH a BW are the other end of the Sandy hill estate sitting chewing their cud and sunning all calm and peaceful ///outdoor.remind.passenger

11:20 back in the other side by the apple tree 17 grazing peacefully. 2 are in the gorse bushes now but fine because the sun has gone in and there’s a chill so they probably wanted warmth

The line SUS has wondered off towards the others I suspect he’s looking for them now the popping noises have stopped, he’s following the path so he’ll find them at the end they haven’t moved

11:33 I’ll leave here they look peaceful and happy
