Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Wednesday 5th April - All 17 seen

    Cows 72, 219, 235 and 940 were standing chewing their cud at the side of Horse Pond at 15:15 this afternoon.   They were all very relaxed.

    Cows 33, 221 and 228 were lying down relaxing on the corner of Sandy Hill a short while later.   Older cow 20 and youngster 217 were standing chewing their cud close by.  Older cow 21 and youngster 213 were busy munching on grass.

    Youngsters 220, 222 and 226 were grazing in the area around ///leaky.lived.drizzly at 15:50.  They were soon joined by the initial four cows who had wandered along to find them.   Older cow 35 and youngster 230 were grazing at the top of the hill around ///patrol.straying.mole.  Eventually found older cow 30 a while later, happily munching on gorse in the bushes around ///auctioned.option.king.

    The cows were all good today.
