Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 1st April - All 17 seen

Cows 33, 213, 217, 219, 222, 226, 228, 230 and 235 were widely spread out in the area around ///dime.else.await at noon today.  They were all munching in the gorse bushes, but gradually came out into the open.  Cow 217 was completely fine today.

Cows 30, 35, 220 and 221 were all lying down relaxing a bit further down in the area around ///acute.trains.cost.  The others all slowly wandered down, eating gorse and heather as they came, and joined them.  All thirteen were lying down, resting and chewing their cud by 12:35.  I circled back round about twenty minutes later and several were having a little snooze.

I eventually found the other four in the area around ///tonal.axed.buckets at 14:15.  Cows 20 and 21 were lying down resting.  Cows 72 and 940 were busy grazing.

The cows were all good today.
